Chapel

Morning chapel happens three days a week.

The school day begins with a brief chapel program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Early Childhood Education (ECE) students attend chapel once a month on a Wednesday.

Chapel includes songs, prayer, reflection, and quiet time. It is designed to:

  • strengthen our sense of community as a school family;
  • help students navigate daily challenges with peace and joy;
  • prepare hearts and minds for the day;
  • deepen appreciation for God’s love and care for others and the world.

Chapel is a shared responsibility between students and staff. Two or three times a year, each class leads a chapel presentation featuring songs, skits, readings, or interactive elements. Chapels are open to parents, grandparents, and friends. Chapel also provides time for recognition and awards.

Birthday Blessing

St. Michael’s offers birthday blessings during chapel, and parents are welcome to attend. The schedule is as follows for Kindergarten through eighth grade:

  • Monday birthdays: blessed on Monday
  • Tuesday or Wednesday birthdays: blessed on Tuesday
  • Thursday–Sunday birthdays: blessed on Thursday
  • Birthdays during school breaks: recognized at the last chapel before the break
  • Summer birthdays: recognized during the last Tuesday chapel of the school year

ECE students receive birthday blessings during their monthly Wednesday chapel.
