Curriculum Overview
Our goal is to foster an education which seeks, not only to develop each student academically, but more importantly to prepare each student to live a creative, humane and compassionate life, and to be a contributing member of society.  Toward this end, we emphasize a classical approach to learning while being responsive to all the research on "how students learn." Our program provides the foundation for the student's subsequent scholastic achievement and includes the following instruction.

Reading, phonics, writing, vocabulary and spelling

Social Studies
  • Students explore the world beyond themselves by utilizing their reading and writing skills, projects, class activities and field trips.
Foreign language

  • Spanish grammar is introduced in grade five.
The Fine Arts 
  • Art, Music, and Drama extend creative expression
  • Specialists teach specific skills
  • Arts projects integrated with other subjects
Religion
  • Reinforces the religious commitment of the school
  • Discussions of morals and values.
Computer Education
  • Focuses on the computer as a tool
  • Keyboarding
  • Software instruction to assist with concepts taught in the classroom.
Physical Education
  • Every grade level
  • Development of physical use and control of muscles
